This year, we celebrate the work anniversaries of three longtime employees.
Shane Van Boxtel, Michael Leschisin, and Carla Garvey began working at Image Studios in 1997. That makes 2022 their 25th year with the business… a whole quarter of a century. This is a remarkable accomplishment for the three of them, and a huge honor to our studio.
In today’s employment landscape, we recognize that employee retention of this magnitude is no small feat. Businesses struggle to retain employees for 5 years, let alone 25. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, median employee tenure in the United States is 4.3 years for men and 3.9 years for women. We are proud to say that 50% of the employees at Image Studios have been with our company for longer than TEN years.
To Shane, Michael, and Carla: Thank you for your dedication, loyalty, and contributions to the business over the past 25 years. We are incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to create with your genius and talent on our side.
Without further ado, meet our celebratory employees:
SHANE VAN BOXTEL
During his time at Image Studios, Shane has built an impressive (and gigantic) portfolio of photography. He is a talent behind the camera, specializing in both editorial and portrait photography. When we added Video Production to our suite of services in 2005, Shane began capturing video as well, adding “Director of Photography” to his resume.
Some of Shane’s most notable accounts over the years: Castle Sales, Artisans Inc, Lloyd Flanders, Crocodile Creek, Bergstrom Automotive, and Insight Publications.
MICHAEL LESCHISIN
Michael began his 25-year career with us as a photographer. During his tenure, he’s acquired several additional job titles: he became a “Director of Photography” in 2005, was licensed as a “Commercial Drone Pilot” in 2016, and served as “Partner” of the studio for 16 years (from 2003 to 2019).
Over the years, Michael has traveled the globe, capturing imagery for both professional and personal causes. His creativity has served hundreds of clients, including Oshkosh Defense, Miller Electric, Pierce Manufacturing, and Waupaca Foundry.
CARLA GARVEY
Carla’s early days at Image Studios were spent working the front desk as our Administrative Assistant. Since the beginning, she has consistently impressed colleagues and clients with her ability to handle any odd task thrown her way. Her responsibilities have continued to grow over the years, leading to Carla’s 2007 promotion into Account Management.
Today, Carla handles our client relationships with some of our most esteemed longtime accounts.
