While the word “Photographer” isn’t in his professional job title, Rob happens to be a very accomplished photographer in his personal life. (You can check out his work HERE.) With a genuine passion for the craft, Rob captures nature and landscape in a way that nobody else can.

To supplement his personal photography, Rob began flying a drone as a hobbyist in 2019. His first model, the DJI Mavic 2, offered both the quality and versatility he needed to expand his portfolio of work. With the help of his new flying camera, Rob was able to get shots he had previously only dreamed of capturing.

As Rob became increasingly skilled at flying his drone, he began sharing his aerial images with peers at the studio. It wasn’t long before he proposed expanding his role at Image by shooting aerial footage professionally for our clients.

His next step: seeking a UAS pilot license. A license required for anyone flying a drone professionally. After much preparation and studying, Rob took the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Drone Certification Exam in May of 2021 and passed with flying colors. He received his Remote Pilot Certificate and added “professional drone operator” to his list of accomplishments.
